Paperboard - Unlike many of our competitors, we use prime paperboard in nearly 100% of the filter frames/die cuts that we manufacture.  The filter frame/die cut market is littered with odd lot/seconds/trim tons that, albeit cheap, leave the converter (and ultimately the customer) vulnerable to the whims of the secondary paper market.  Although we also have strong relationships in the secondary paperboard market, we only use those items with our customers’ prior approval and often offer customers rebates when job lot paper is available.

Quality – When all of the talk about quality initiatives is said and done, customer satisfaction with our product matters most.  One of the most tangible results of our quality program is the elimination of the need to “pre-break” any scores on PFP filter frames/die cuts.  Before working with PFP, many of our customers were pre-breaking scores before the final assembly of their air filters.  We firmly believe that the quality of our scores, measured both objectively, by our professionally calibrated score bend testing instrument, and subjectively, by the experience gained by our pressmen over years of running filter frames/die cuts, allows our filter frames/die cuts to be used directly off the pallet.  Our customers directly benefit by freeing up their employees to focus on more productive tasks.

Vendor Support - We enjoy excellent vendor support, both locally and nationally, to ensure that our customers’ needs are satisfied. In addition to our deep relationships with paperboard suppliers who are dedicated to the air filter industry, our support team includes printing plate suppliers, die shops, graphic designers and structural engineers that allow us to adequately support our customer base.

Equipment - We utilize both sheet and web fed printing and die-cutting equipment to produce quality products for our customers in the air filter industry, as well as other paperboard product consumers and distributors.  We also offer slitting and rewinding (coil stock), contract sheeting, paper trimming, and warehousing. We convert various paperboard substrates ranging in caliper from .008 to .052.
