See what I did there?  Get it?  Wrapping up….. as in Christmas presents…… (Don’t worry, no one around here thinks I’m all that funny either).

As we close out another year, it's natural to look back and have a moment or two of self-reflection.  Have I kept my resolutions from last year?  Did I learn anything new?  How could I have done my job better?  How could I have been a better husband, father, brother, son, employer, employee, or friend?  I think that it’s normal to give yourself a grade in those and other areas.

PFP made good grades in 2014, and this update serves to celebrate those good marks.

1.    Safety.  We had another very safe year.  People don’t come to work to get hurt.  People come to work to provide for families.  Injuries are bad for you, your family, and the company you work for.  Simply put, do what you have to do to ensure that you and the people around you work safely, and take that responsibility seriously.  I’m very proud that 2014 was a safe year.

2.    Low Turnover.  I've always enjoyed meeting people, but I really enjoy being around people that like each other, and people who work together to get things done.  PFP is blessed with a great team, and we're fortunate that we keep the core of our group intact year after year.  There is a lot of experience at this company, and utilizing that experience gives PFP a great chance to consistently please our customers.

3.    Vendor Support.  PFP has dependable and supportive vendors that supply us with the thousands upon thousands of tons of paperboard that we convert each year.  We also have suppliers that sell us hundreds of other items, from circuit boards to coffee creamer.  We take care of our vendors.  We pay on time, we work with tight schedules, and we take seriously the responsibility that we have in purchasing the right products for the right applications.  We fully recognize that without the support of our entire supply chain, we simply would not be able to serve our customers.

4.    Customer Support.  Finally, but most importantly, PFP was given incredible customer support in 2014.  There is no way to overstate how important customers are to any business.  Without them, you don’t have the opportunity to work safely, keep employees, and foster vendor relationships.  Customers are the straw that stirs the drink.  Every order we receive, and especially every repeat order, is the ultimate sign that we are doing a good job for our customers.  We'll keep doing our part, and you keep those orders coming!

At the end of the day, the people at PFP are thankful for a great 2014.  Here’s to 2015, and may it bring you much success and happiness.  Cheers!
