Under water... In the weeds... Covered up... Swamped... However you want to say it, that's what our teams in both Tennessee and Texas have been for the past several months. We typically run a four day production week. We like to save Fridays for maintenance or the occasional overtime shift to catch up if we fall a little behind or if orders are unusually strong. Most of our team likes a little overtime here and there. Although a three-day weekend is nice, a little extra change in your pocket never hurts, right?  For the past several months, we've been running every Friday and several Saturday shifts. We've also been running really well. Record production month after record production month. Our crew is getting it done.  They know what it takes to keep our customers happy and they are doing an amazing job!  They're also probably ready for some R&R.

Fortunately, we see some daylight on the horizon. Since we are a raw material supplier to manufacturers, we typically see a bit of seasonality in our sales around the holidays. If our customers' plants are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, then they don't need our die cuts during that time. Those breaks usually pull a couple of weeks' worth of orders out of our schedule and they allow us to catch up and take a breath. That chance to take a breath will be welcome this year.

We've also recently seen a shift in the market that we expect will free up some capacity for us after the new year. That said, we're already in the process of filling the pipeline back up, so we don't expect that shift to have a material long-term impact on our company's growth. We've never experienced a negative sales year in the history of our company and we don't plan on starting now.

Hopefully, we'll find the time to connect before the holidays, but if we don't, we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!  It's a busy time of year for everyone, but hopefully you will have a chance to take a break, spend some time with loved ones, reflect on the many blessings in your life, and share those blessings with others. In the meantime, if you need any die cuts, please please give us a call.
